Amber was one of the earliest materials used by people to make necklaces in the Stone Age. Then (and not only then) people attributed magical properties to amber. They believed that amber repels evil, attracts good luck and protects its wearer from diseases.
To this day, amber necklaces are worn not only as decoration, but also because of the belief in their health benefits which is believed to happen because of the succinic acid that amber contains. Amber acid is involved in relieving stress, restlessness and pain, helping to calm the mind and strengthen the immune system. Although it has not yet been scientifically proven that wearing amber necklaces actually has health benefits, they are still very popular, especially for babies who are teething. We have feedback from mothers of the little ones, who said that they are calmer and tolerate the growth of their first teeth better.
